Shear Headcase has always and will continue to follow practices that ensure the safety and health of our clients on a daily basis. Our services and our salon will look and feel a little different due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, but know that the safety of our staff, clients, and community is our highest priority.

Shear Headcase salon is now an appointment only and paperless salon. All new client forms are available online. All paperwork must be completed prior to your appointment. If you have not filled one out already, clients will be required to fill out a Wellness Checklist prior to entering the salon.

Here is what you can expect for your visit with us:

All employees and clients are REQUIRED to wear a face mask before entering the salon and during their appointment.

  • Masks can be purchased for $2 if you do not have one or if you want to purchase one for color services to prevent staining on your personal face covering.

When you call to let us know that you arrived, please let us know if you need to purchase a face mask. Your stylist can bring one to your car.

In order to keep social distancing possible in our salon, we have changed our maximum occupancy to 10 people at any given time. We have changed our stylist schedules to reflect the new maximum occupancy.

Only clients scheduled for an appointment will be allowed in the salon, unless physical assistance is necessary, in which case, your accompanying person must also wear a face covering during the service visit.

We also ask that if a physical assistant needs to accompany you for your appointment, please let us know. This information will be useful for scheduling your appointment to adhere to our maximum occupancy of 10 people.

Please text us from your car when you arrive, we will reply when you may enter the salon.

There will be no beverages available at the salon, but you are welcome to bring your own. All drinks brought into the salon will need to be taken out with you after your appointment. No food will be allowed in the salon.

Please do not bring in any extra large bags, laptop bags, etc. Please just bring in what can comfortably fit in your lap and/or lightly hang from a salon station hook. We will not have any magazines available for you. Feel free to bring your own reading material that you will have to take with you once you leave the salon.

We will not be accepting cash payments at this time.

Upon entering the salon, Please go to the salon restroom to thoroughly wash your hands for 20 seconds prior to being seated at your stylist’s station.

After your services are complete, you may want to purchase some retail products to ensure the best hair care between service appointments. You will not be able to touch retail products on display for sale. Only Employees are able to handle retail products. Your stylist will be happy to get the retail products you need before you check out at the front desk.

Please be assured that we will continue to practice the required cleaning and sanitation procedures before, during, and after your services. Below are some practices that we have and will continue to do to keep our salon environment safe:

  • Stylists will wear masks the entire time during your service. They will also wash their hands before your service and anytime during your service. Whenever possible, your stylist will wear gloves and dispose of them immediately. All common use surfaces will be wiped down and sanitized between use. These surfaces may include computers, landline phones, credit card machines, doorknobs, etc.
  • Salon stylist workstations will be fully wiped down and sanitized between every client visit. Shampoo bowls stations will be sanitized between every client shampoo/conditioner wash. Equipment and tools will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before use on each client.
  • We have added Air Ionizers with UV-C Sanitation in each room of our salon. Providing additional sanitizing air circulation for our staff and clients.

  • Towels, kimonos, and capes used during client services will immediately be removed from station areas after each client and washed in hot water and chlorine bleach.
